Universo Riparbella
A game of the goose painted on the asphalt of the road that leads to the primary school, devised by the children together with Vincenzo Marano Esposito.
The theme of the work
A wish of the children turned into a mural: a giant game of the goose along the road home, telling the story of Agenda 2030 through their own drawings.
The mural came about following a specific request from the primary school children: Via della Noce is the road they walk along every day to get to school. During the school elections for mayor and deputy mayor, the wish to create a game of the goose along that route emerged among the proposals in their “election” manifestos.
This is how an educational workshop with the artist Vinci came about, in which the children themselves designed the squares of the route, dedicated to the themes of Agenda 2030: sustainable development and the fight against poverty and inequality.
The result is like a comic strip laid out on the asphalt: a painted girl unrolls a ribbon in the colours of Riparbella, light blue and yellow, along the whole route, wrapping around the squares reproduced from the children’s own sketches, right up to the final slogan: “Riparbella che insegna!” (“Riparbella teaches!”)
A route designed by the children, for the children who walk to school every day.
